WebBrowser Control Basics

WebBrowser control supports properties, methods, and events that allow programmers and web developers create a highly tailored browser with the WebBrowser objects. You can use the WebBrowser control to make a browsing application that restricts navigation to a local network and unwanted websites.

To use these controls, simply add the “Microsoft Internet Controls” tools to your VBasic project and place the WebBrowser control on a Visual Basic form. You can add the library by selecting Components menu then select Project in Visual Basic, or right-click the project in MS Visual Studio 2005 then choose Add Reference option on the context menu. An application can also manipulate an instance of the browser application through Automation with the IE object.
